The Hazard Skills Training Centre in Clarendon has been providing certification for residents in collaboration with the Heart NSTA Trust for many years. The programs the institution offers has assist many individual to acquire readily employable skills for the world of work through Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).

Welding and Fabrication Level 2 and 3

Welding Levels 1 - 3: You will be trained on how to carryout the fabrication process which involve joining materials together, usually metals or thermoplastics, by using high heat to melt the parts together and allowing them to cool, causing fusion. Welding is distinct from lower temperature metal-joining techniques such as brazing and soldering, which do not melt the base metal. At the end of the program you will be equip with the skills needed to perform all welding tasks.

Electrical Installation and Maintenance Level 2 and 3

An electrical installation comprises all the fixed electrical equipment that are supplied through the electrical meter. It includes the cables that are usually hidden in the walls and ceilings, accessories (such as sockets, switches and light fittings), and the consumer unit (fusebox) that contains all the fuses, circuit-breakers and, preferably residual current devices (RCDs).

Hospitality Services Level 2

Hospitality involves being friendly and making guests feel comfortable and welcomed. Hospitality can be performed in any place where a service is provided. Well-known examples of this in the "hospitality industry" are hotels, theme parks and restaurants, but can be done in any service focused establishment. Many customers expect a certain level of hospitality depending on the price and quality of a hospitality business. Therefore, in the hospitality industry, it is important that staff have hospitality in their services and actions involving customers.

Commercial Food Preparation Level 2

This is a skill-based course which focuses on topics related to the food service industry. Students are exposed to topics such as health safety, storage of food, methods of cooking, stock control, communication, and customer service.

Beauty Therapy Level 2

Beauty Therapy involves treatments, 

dermabrasion, peels, botox, and fillers, etc.  The course will ensure that the individual gets a detailed understanding of skin, hair, nails, etc. at a deeper level. Trainees will also be engaged in carrying out massages, Facials, pedicure, manicure, Makeup techniques etc.

Cosmetology
Level 2

Cosmetology involves aesthetic implementations of beauty techniques, like styling, cutting, colouring, facials, expert manicures, pedicures, creating makeup looks, lash extensions, nail extensions, and so on. The concept revolves around anything that can be easily reversed and is more topical in nature. When learning cosmetology, the programs cover the outer areas of styling and grooming with knowledge of makeup and enhancement products.

Office Work

Business Administration Level 2 and 3

Business administration (also known as business management) is the administration of a commercial enterprise. It includes all aspects of overseeing and supervising the business operations of an organization. From the point of view of management and leadership, it also covers fields that include office building administration, accounting, finance, designing, development, quality assurance, data analysis, sales, project management, information-technology management, research and development, and marketing.
